Voice and Piano teacher Kayli Slayden

Kayli Slayden is a senior music major at Mid-America Nazarene University. Although piano is her concentration, she has studied voice throughout her years at MNU. Kayli is concurrently completing a second major in theater with a concentration in musical theater.

Miss Slayden began her piano study at the age of five, and has studied voice since the age of fifteen. She was also a serious violin student during high school.

Kayli has been heavily involved in Mid-America’s theatre department, performing in over 20 plays and musicals, and is a two-time Irene Ryan nominee for her acting performances. She is also an avid playwright and has had the wonderful opportunity of having her work professionally produced multiple times. Kayli sang soprano in MNU’s Symphonic and Heritage choirs, and performed with the choirs in multiple concerts and worship services.

Miss Slayden has been teaching piano and voice at Kansas City School of Music throughout most of her time at MNU. She loves teaching, and enjoys working with students to discover and learn new things about music.
