Michael Navato has studied piano and voice seriously since he was a young child. By the time he graduated from high school, he had reached an advanced level in his musicianship and technique. He will soon complete his bachelor’s degree in music from the University of Missouri-Kansas City Conservatory of Music where his emphasis is voice, piano, and choral music education.
Michael’s musical experience includes many solo performances and several major singing and acting roles within local community theaters. He has also performed as vocalist and pianist with several choirs and jazz ensembles. Mr. Navato has a passion for choral and instrumental ensemble composition. His works include a mass setting which has been performed at a local parish, as well as an SATB choral piece and a piece for trombone choir, both of which he conducted for chamber ensembles at the UMKC Conservatory of Music.
Michael has been teaching piano and voice at Kansas City School of Music for two years. Michael’s students benefit from his passion about making and teaching music. He is a lifelong learner and is always continuing to improve his outstanding pedagogical skills.
